Series 02 - Resilient Rise
EN: "Resilient Rise" is a heavy, visceral investigation of organic symmetry and motion. Conceptually, the artwork translates human resilience through a metaphor that intertwines mythology with profound mathematics. It proposes the maxim that a human being is capable of falling "X" times and rising "X+1" times—like a phoenix or an angel whose wings inherit an involuntary pulse of survival, entirely indifferent to the constraints of rational numbers. The artist subtly references the historical figures who literally lost their heads for defending the truth of irrational numbers hidden within the hypotenuse of a right triangle with unit legs (the square root of two). On the canvas, the exact moment of this resurgence is captured: the knees outline an invisible upward motion while the dense, colorful curves herald the imminent explosion and unfolding of the wings. Every painted line and angle functions as a mathematical equation, calculating the exact degrees needed for matter to lift and the soul to ultimately evolve.

Conceitualmente, a obra traduz a resiliência humana através de uma metáfora que entrelaça a mitologia com a matemática profunda. Propõe a máxima de que o ser humano é capaz de cair "X" vezes e levantar "X+1" vezes — como uma fênix ou um anjo cujas asas herdam um pulso involuntário de sobrevivência, totalmente indiferente às restrições dos números racionais. O artista faz referência sutil às figuras históricas que literalmente perderam a cabeça por defenderem a verdade dos números irracionais ocultos na hipotenusa de um triângulo retângulo com catetos unitários (a raiz quadrada de dois). Na tela, captura-se o exato milissegundo desse ressurgimento: os joelhos esboçam um movimento invisível de subida enquanto as curvas densas e coloridas anunciam a iminente explosão e desdobramento das asas. Cada linha e ângulo pintado funciona como uma equação matemática, calculando os graus exatos necessários para a matéria elevar-se e a alma finalmente evoluir.

His solid background as a woodworker and set designer for TV, theater, and cinema bestows an impeccable engineering and museum-grade durability upon the structure. Upon this robust foundation, the semi-linen fabric is meticulously stretched and treated with careful, high-end chemical preservation: a magnesium priming to ensure full canvas PH neutralization, followed by two coats of acrylic gesso, securing the artwork's longevity across decades.

A obra nasce de um processo de absoluto artesanato de elite: o chassi de madeira Cedrinho (60 x 60 cm), precisamente estruturado e reforço com chaves de canto em 45 graus, é inteiramente projetado e fabricado pelo próprio artista. Sua sólida bagagem como marceneiro e cenógrafo de TV, teatro e cinema confere uma engenharia impecável e durabilidade de nível museológico à estrutura. Sobre essa base robusta, o tecido de semilinho é meticulosamente esticado e tratado com uma cuidadosa preservação química de alto padrão: uma imprimação de magnésio para garantir a neutralização completa do pH da tela, seguida por duas camadas de gesso acrílico, assegurando a longevidade da obra por décadas.
EN: Visually, the piece establishes a sophisticated, contemporary contrast of techniques. The background is built using the perfectly smooth surface of spray paint, creating an ethereal atmosphere that serves as a stage for the main design. Upon this foundation emerge dense, expressive brushstrokes loaded with high-quality acrylic paint. This tactile play enhances the physical relief of the medium, generating a beautiful visual friction against the noble, original texture of the semi-linen.
On the reverse lies a rigorous system of preservation and international cataloging. The technical registry of authorship, serial number, and applied mediums is handwritten with Posca pen inside the chassis, accompanied by an international museum-standard technical label on Canson paper structurally framed in Paraná board. The industrial fastening system features two forged eye hooks and a braided stainless steel tension cable secured with industrial pressed aluminum crimp sleeves. The collector's wall is safeguarded by multilayer protective bumpers made of 3M silicone, 3mm E.V.A., and soft fabric. The masterwork is accompanied by a registered bilingual Certificate of Authenticity (COA), featuring official cartório registry and holograms on the Portuguese version, and the traditional custom stamp of the √2 seal on the English version.
